Our recent dining experience at Sarasota's newest restaurant, Arts & Central, is a unique gem in the Rosemary District. It was a delightful discovery. The restaurant blends modern and cozy decor, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere that reminds me of SOHO in NYC. With a spacious dining room and a wrap-around patio that can accommodate up to 200 people, it's a place that truly stands out. The service was exceptional, with an attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable staff who were well-versed in the menu, making us feel valued as customers.
At Arts & Central, every dish is a masterpiece crafted with fresh ingredients. We tried many dishes, each testament to the chef's skill and creativity. Every bite was a revelation, from the lamb sliders with feta, caramelized onions, and sumac to the Poolside Tots with brisket, aioli, scallions, and sweet soy glaze. The entrees, including the wild mushroom Carnaroli Rice risotto with chives and parmesan and fresh swordfish with Wild Mushroom Beurre Blanc, Garlic Chives, and Grilled Zucchini, were equally impressive. We ended with a shared banana flan dessert.
Arts & Central is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of art and food. This month, we had the pleasure of experiencing the works of Jade Griffen, a self-taught contemporary artist from South Florida, and Sam Tanelli, a freshman at Ringling College of Art and Design. Their artworks are displayed at the restaurant.
Arts and Central is a dining experience that we highly recommend. Both Georgia and Steve give it a resounding thumbs up! This restaurant is a fantastic addition to Sarasota and a culinary gem you should not miss. Your taste buds and leave you wanting more.
