As art enthusiasts, we're excited about the latest addition to Sarasota's thriving art scene: 502 Gallery in the Burns Court District. The gallery's inaugural show, "Shopliftable," presents a diverse range of small pieces of art, each measuring 6 inches by 6 inches or smaller, that are sure to capture your interest and are available for purchase.
502 Gallery is the brainchild of artist Tim Jaeger, his wife Cassia Kite Jaeger (an artist and educator), and Dr. Richard Mones, a retired radiologist and art collector. The founders are dedicated to showcasing affordable art, with most pieces priced under $500, and providing a platform for recent graduates from Ringling College to kickstart their careers. 'Shopliftable' will be on display from August 5 until November, followed by a sequel, 'Shopliftable 2,' featuring another 50 local artists from November until the end of January.
