The Umbrella House, a Paul Rudolph home circa 1953, is undergoing a landscape renovation by Oasis, LA. This project will be showcased during Architecture Sarasota's Mod Week from November 14-17, featuring a garden design rooted in Bauhaus principles. The design emphasizes linear and geometric forms, local resources, and the absence of ornamental materials, using coastal plant material native to the area. The estimated completion date is September 1, 2024.
Tropical Modern Residence
Located at the corner of Wewa and Oriole Drive, this modern home is designed by Halflants and Pichette Studio for Modern Architecture and local Sarasota architects. The garden design provides a lush tropical experience with natural finishes, blending the natural and built environments into a tropical oasis. The estimated completion date is June 1, 2025.
