Amid the delectable spread of food and beverages, our team embarked on a culinary adventure at the new restaurant Tzeva at the Art Ovation. We were enticed by various modern Middle Eastern dishes, each infused with unique Israeli flavors. Our evening commenced with a delightful sharing of small plates, including the Toasted Feta Cheese with thyme honey, dukkah (spices), marinated pickles, and Castelvetrano olives; the innovative Falafel fritters with pickled watermelon rinds, tzatziki, and smoked tomato chutney; and the rich and creamy hummus, with hints of lemon, garlic, parsley, and nori-za'atar.
Our main courses were a testament to the chef's mastery and ingenuity. Steven relished the refreshing Israeli salad with Tomato, cucumber, lemon, onion, herbs, bell pepper, extra virgin olive oil, and feta cheese, and another culinary masterpiece was enjoyed by Georgia, the grouper chermoula, fish cooked in a spicy tomato and vegetable stew, served atop a bed of fluffy couscous; Elizabeth was captivated by the charred octopus with tamarind honey, radish, crispy garlic, and herbs; and Danielle was delighted by the Moroccan-spiced spatchcocked chicken with shredded phyllo nests. Each dish was a harmonious blend of bold spices and vibrant ingredients, a testament to the chef's skill and creativity and a promise of a memorable dining experience.
As we relished each bite and engaged in animated conversations, the ambiance at Tzeva added an extra layer of delight to our evening. The live Spanish music played by a talented trio set the perfect mood, while the mesmerizing performance of an exotic belly dancer added a touch of excitement. Our dining experience at Tzeva was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of good food, great company, and unforgettable moments.
